Laker Idol (Live
Auditions Only) - 9th year
This is a solo vocal
competition for four age groups:
Little (9 and under)
Junior (10-12)
Teen (13-17)
Adult (18 and older)Auditions at Fong's July 17 &
18. Finals are Saturday, August 10 at the Lakefront Park Band Shell as
part of Lakefront Days. Prizes awarded. Applications and specific

Laker Variety Show (DVDs
accepted) - 5th year
All types of family
entertainment of all ages welcomed. Singers, instrumentalists,
comedians, bands, jugglers, dancers, speakers, uni-cyclists
If you got talent, we want to see it. DVDs or auditions of your
act at Twin Oaks Middle School on June 11 & 18 are considered.
Laker Variety Show is a non-competitive event. The show
is Friday, August 9 starting at 7:00
pm at Lakefront Park Band Shell as part of Lakefront Days. We select
acts to perform for the show based on how it compliments the rest of the show.
We do encourage a variety of acts to perform.

Savage Has Talent - 2nd
year (DVDs accepted) - DEADLINE NEXT MONTH.
This competition is
looking for talent in these 3 categories: Vocal (solo, duets, ensembles,
etc.), Instrumental (solo, duets, ensembles, bands, etc.), Other (dance,
juggling, baton twirling, speech, you name it. Two age categories:
16 and under and 17 and older. DVDs or auditions of your
act at Hidden Valley Elementary School May 7 & May 9 are accepted.
Finals are Saturday, June 22 starting at noon at Savage Community Park as part
of Dan Patch Days. Applications and specific times for divisions can be
found at www.danpatchdays.org.
