Congratulations to Elementary Special Education CID teacher, Stacey Retzer, for being selected as Grainwood's Teacher of the Year! This is Stacey's 15th year of teaching, the past 8 years of which she has had the pleasure of teaching in the Prior Lake-Savage Area School District. Stacey graduated with a double major in elementary and special education from St Cloud State University. She completed her Masters of Education degree through St. Mary's University, Twin Cities Campus.Stacey has been involved in various district committees such as PLSEA Executive Board, Social Skills, IPAD, Level III programming, MERT, SPED forms implementation, S.M.A.R.T, and various SPED committees. She has also served on the Belle Plaine PTO council, and has been a Sunday School and Bible School Teacher.
Her hobbies include spending time with her husband, Jamey, and two boys, Riley, age 9 and Ryan, age 8. Stacey LOVES to golf, travel and SHOP. She also enjoys coaching.
