Fire and Lock Down Drills

As you may have heard from your child after school yesterday, we completed our first of five required fire and lock down drills in the afternoon.  We typically host these drills back-to-back in order to limit interruptions.  Teachers were well aware of the scheduled times for the drills yesterday, allowing them plenty of opportunity to review expectations and practice with their students (especially those kindergarteners).  The next four drills are unscheduled, but are always announced as drills over the intercom system.  Here's to making Grainwood a safe place!
