In the music room, we have started a STOMP unit in 5th grade in which students are creating their own rhythmic patterns and performing them with "found" instruments such as bottles, sticks, pencils, and even water jugs. Our fourth grade classrooms are working hard at achieving their recorder belts as they learn many new songs such as "Old Macdonald" "Amazing Grace" and "Ode to Joy."
