Thursday afternoon, the fifth graders from Grainwood, Westwood and Saint Michael's gathered in the GW Gym for the annual DARE Graduation Celebration. Officer Scott Johnson of the Prior Lake Police Department and DARE officer for PLSAS Schools, alongside Mitch Popple, Rotary Club Member, presided over the celebration. Congratulations go out to Alexis (GW), Lauren (WW) and Mayme (St. Mike's) for representing each school as this year's DARE Essay Winners! These three students are now eligible for a $1000 scholarship upon high school graduation and staying drug and alcohol free. Families, thank you for helping educate your students about the harmful effects of drug and alcohol abuse. May our fifth graders futures be full of good choices!
