As part of making sure Grainwood Elementary is prepared for an emergency, our Medical Emergency Response Team (or MERT) participated in a drill Wednesday morning. The team, consisting of teachers, support staff and office staff, participated in medical emergency scenarios involving an adult and a child. District nurses were on-hand to provide guidance and feedback to make sure our response practices were delivered appropriately. We value safety-for-all and are commited to practicing our response in case an actual emergency would take place.
